Waterbirth/Hydrotherapy Workshop

Learn the science behind hydrotherapy and a history of waterbirth in the western world as well as the practicalities and how-tos of supporting your client. This course includes a Passages Birth pool for you to keep and will teach you how to:

• set up a labor/birthing pool at a home or hospital

• supplies needed for the birth pool with consideration for all places of birth (old houses with hardwood floors or small water heaters, hospital birthing rooms, …_

• hospital guidelines and policies on waterbirth and hydrotherapy (including COVID guidelines)

•different types of rentable tubs and how to start and maintain your own tub rental service

You will also learn how to support a woman planning to use hydrotherapy as a comfort measure all the way through birthing in the water and baby's unique transition in the immediate postpartum.

No previous experience or doula training necessary.

$175 registration includes a Passages Birth Pool and all materials plus a FREE 4 month membership to The Doula School and a certificate of completion
