Want to discuss books and materials relevant to our work with a group of sweet, welcoming birth nerds? Join our Doula Book Club! Cost is FREE for CAPPA doulas or $264/year (that's $22/month) for non-CAPPA members! Currently we are reading Tina Cassidy's book "Birth" with our first discussion date (covering half of the book) on 1/6. There is still time to join!
When? Every month. Where? This is a hybrid group, so you are welcome to join online OR feel free to come in-person if you are local. We'll have tea, snacks, and deliciously juicy conversation. Knitting projects and nurslings-in-arms are welcome to attend with you.
Aside from your required reading for certification, ongoing education is such an important part of our work. We will endeavor to follow the CAPPA required reading list as a guideline, keeping the reading list inclusive, while saving time for special interest topics and books from local authors. We also anticipate having guest author visits and discussions.
Yearly membership also includes a four month membership to the Doula School. If you can’t make a meeting but have a question for the group (or visiting author) you can send it to us before hand and we will record the session for you.
